Ellie made sure she'd packed everything she needed for leaving the Dam. Yes, she was going alone, though Joel wouldn't find out... She hoped at least. It was just about coming to noon, and Joel was doing some work with Tommy, Ellie saw this as the opportunity to go explore a little, maybe find herself a new weapon of some sort, she was growing more and more tired of her current bow. It wasn't the most efficient at taking out runners which were charging her way. Her switchblade was her only other option, which kin d of sucked unless she caught them by surprise.
Her backpack was fully equipt with her arrows, as well as a filled water bottle should she grow thirsty. She shouldn't be too long. She didn't want Joel to find out of course, he'd not be in the happiest of moods if he'd heard she'd been running around outside. Once outside, she began her exploration, charging off into the newly sprung spring season. It wasn't too long before the dam was only just visible in the distance. She'd come across some animal tracks, though hunting wasn't exactly her priority. She wasn't looking to kill any animals today, if she found some food though, she wouldn't of course hesitate in picking it up along the way. She held her bow in hand as she made her way through the forest as it sprung with life now as the new season was coming to life as she knew it.
Her travels wouldn't go unnoticed for long, she'd come across a small camp like area. It looked to be abandoned, she was unsure though, there were simply just tents and a small burnt out fireplace in the center of the small camp. She hesitantly aproached, listening for clickers or runners as she made her stealthy aproach. Fortunate for her, it was abandoned, the only trace of life being the blood of whatever was here last, clearly. Whoever it was, they were probably driven away by bandits or even worse, runners, or maybe the clickers got them. Ellie made her way into the camp, quickly searching around but not finding anything of intriguing value. She sighed before picking up an overturned camping chair, sitting on it as she had just been on quite a tiring walk.
