"Its been five years since Marlene was killed. Five years since the cure for humanity slipped through our fingers. Five years since we started rebuilding. Like a phoenix we have been reborn from the ashes. Only this time, we don't plan to let the cure escape."
Main Plot
The Fireflies have been reborn under new leadership and are now more determined than ever to seek out the cure that was lost to them five years ago. Having gathered their numbers in Salt Lake City, the group have been hiring mercenaries and experienced trackers to hunt down Ellie's whereabouts. Their leads had not turned up nothing until a month ago where they got word back from one of the hunters that they had spotted a young woman that fitted the description in the wilderness of Wyoming.
Now the Fireflies and their hired trackers are on their way to Wyoming, hoping to find Ellie and deal with anyone who stands in their way. The hope for mankind rests on their shoulders.
Sub Plot - Salt Lake City
With the fireflies ready to disembark on their chapter to find the lost cure, some have taken it to desperate measures when securing their own safety. A few of the firefly members have been doing secret deals with the bandits outside of the city, trading supplies and drugs for weapons. Little do they know but the bandits plan to seize their base once the main group has departed. Do the remaining fireflies have what it takes to hold off the bandits?
Sub Plot - Jackson County
The survivor community around Tommy's Dam have been slowly expanding their borders and numbers. Now boasting a healthy number of families, the community have been tougher than ever when it comes to dealing with outsiders and bandits. The raids against their township still hasn't ceased and now the people are planning to make an attack against those who have been sabotaging their cattle and crops. Lead by Tommy and Maria, the community band together and make their plans to locate and destroy the bandit camps hiding in the wilderness.
Sub Plot - Boston
Boston's military personnel had been effective when it came to wiping out firefly resistance, but that didn't stop the infected from plaguing the streets. A fresh outbreak of the disease has seen the numbers of infected soar the last 3 months and with ammunition running low, the military personnel are looking for new ways to deal with the problem. With so many infected walking the streets, how can anyone keep truly safe? Some suggest the only way is to go outside but with the military cracking down even harder on who and who doesn't leave the city, will anyone ever be able to breach the tight security?
