Within the character application you will find that you are asked to describe a role for your character. In this thread we will be going over several options for what your character's role within the story might become. Ultimately it will flesh out what they're capable of and excel at, making them more interesting while highlighting their abilities.
Suggestions
Examples of character roles can be:
- Weapons Dealer
They fair off by selling weapons. Perhaps they are a travelling merchant or they prefer to lock down in a single location. Wherever they are, they are handy in roleplay because they can offer other players good gear...but at what price? Would they give weapons out in trade for food, supplies or for deals? Perhaps they'd only sell weapons to those they trust or maybe their prices are so steep that it makes them a target for those who can't quite afford the price.
- Farmer
- Mercenary
- Mechanic
Consider this...
What role would fit your character? You'd need to think clearly as to how it would make them who they are. Do they like to work alone or work in groups? Are they a thinker or someone who thinks actions speak louder than words? Are they an extrovert or an introvert? Do they care about the survival of others or are they only looking out for themselves? These things and much more need to be taken into consideration when thinking of what your character might be. You don't always have to pick something that would result in conflict. Also, nothing stops you from having several roles. For example you could be doctor but that doesn't stop you from being a sharpshooter in case things get heated. Do what you think is best for your character but don't make them the best at everything.
