The year is 9:41 Dragon. Thedas is in turmoil in the wake of the Mage-Templar War and what budding hopes for peace that began to blossom with the calling of the Conclave by Divine Justina V were eviscerated with its destruction. In one cataclysmic event the sky was torn open and Thedas plunged into darkness. Creatures from beyond the realm of mortals have spilled across the southern part of the continent, leaving the leaders of the world scrambling to make sense of the blow that has been dealt.
Yet Honorah Trevelyan is found amidst the rubble of the attack - the sole survivor of the Breach. With a mark on her hand that can affect the rifts, Honorah is now considered by many to be the Herald of Andraste and the only person that can truly aid the newly formed Inquisition in bringing order back to the world.
Many others have taken sides in these troubled times, forming alliances across the continent from the Anderfels to Antiva. Some have attempted to remain free of the conflict, choosing to ignore the war happening around them.
