Liquid time debate!

So a lot things are changing with this re-boot and i submit to you the next thing i think is due, liquid time. Sort of. 

Im my opinion, PEARL had a very good point about being realistic. You cant be in Boston and in Jackson county at the same time because you cant, it cant be done! However, i maintain that a person would be able to have a thread in say, tommy's dam and then also in the ranchs there. You could go hunting in one thread and meet someone and go to tommy and chat about life in his dam in another thread there, though you keep these apart. 

So you go and talk to say bob the hunter in tommy dam, ask him about tracking. Then  in another thread you met steve the trader and talk to him about how to get cash, these thread happen apart within time however. You cant chat to steve one moment and then throw in how bob JUST told you he found a rabbit, no, thats not liquid time. Thats god-modding and SUPER naughty! 


But yea, i thin thats more fair. It allows people the chance to RP with new people, to avoid dead threads causing people to lose the chance to RP and it offer so many more plots. I also think we need new boards once we get a bit of a plot running but thats a whole different thread

{Area idea}I think we need a "General" area. This is an idea that has a lake, a forest, a meadow, an abandoned hut and a few other places found everywhere and this area could be one that is "everywhere". Anyone could comment in this board and make threads no matter where their other thread area, allowing people who dont move around to actually meet but only one thread in this area would be permitted. This offers more plots, people to meet new faces and so much more RPings with other and new people which means we would be so much more community

I don't really want liquid time because I would see that as complicated and that it all should be realistic and make our characters futures togehter. If the thread you are creating with you character in let's say outside Tommy's dam doesn't get any replies you can just close that one in case you see something opening up somewhere else but I just want what's best for everyone here so it's all up to you. I just wanted to add my opinion in here so you know what I mean :D

So, I don't know if you want my opinion before I join, but I'm afraid to make a commitment to a one character thread at a time site. So here is my opinion, for what it's worth::

I don't like liquid time to a certain point. What I mean is that I agree the site should follow one time line, smoothly. However, what I don't agree with is the one thread per character. Having a faintly character liquid timeline can sometimes be really needed. For one, if you are RPing with a person, that person takes 7 days to make 1 post, and this happens every single post they make, you can be waiting MONTHS for one roleplay to be done. In that case, you no longer have the option of RPing literally at all, unless you juggle more than one character. While I am a character hog, and tend to make characters at the rate most people change clothing, I know lots of people find it difficult to RP more than one personality at a time. Which means those people, who struggle with juggling more than one, will no longer have the option of roleplaying. Eventually their interest will wane, and they won't bother with posting. If that roleplay they are waiting 7 days between posts is good, in depth, and character developing, deleting it in favor of a more active one could be difficult for them.

Also, there is the fact of forum events. If my character is in a meaningful thread, I'm not going to abandon it in favor of a forum event, or a group roleplay. My characters development will happen one thread at a time at this rate, and it can be daunting.

So...that's my opinion...
