Name: Kindra Pierce
Alias: Pierce
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Faction: Survivor
Role: Messenger (One who delivers supplies & messages to paying clients).
Location: Jackson county
Physical Description: As a child she had long black hair that could be described only as black as raven feathers that hung down to her bum. But as the female grew older the rough life of human beings started to show its marks. Her hair slowly torn as time passed, thus forcing her father to shorten her hair. After the haircut her hair hung slightly below her shoulders. She was fond of the short hair even though it was worn and harsh and not quite beautiful as before, and so she has kept it like that till this day. Her body length is 5.7 feet and she weighs 171 pounds and is a very potent girl. The shape of her face is soft and round, that makes her look so very innocent. The skin of Kindra's body is pail, she does love the sun and spends the most of her days in it, but she gets easily skin burned and that makes her really red before it gets burnt. So if she stays out too long her cheeks tend to become really red and puffy. She gots her dad's genes and he is almost paler than snow. She has also a few cuts and scars on her left side of her stomach and arms because she usually fight zombies up-close and sometimes they can get a bit to close and grab her and claw her of any sort. Kindra’s forehead is quite small but when she gets astonished her forehead wrinkles up a bit, not too much though, but it is noticeable. Her eyes are hazel brown and are an almond shape and her eyebrows are in a natural sophisticated shape. The inner tip of her eyebrow are closer to her eyes than the outer tip, it doesn’t make her look to angry though, it’s closer to relaxed. Her eyes can be fierce at sometimes, but if you look deeper you can see a glimpse of hope and beauty. One eye is though a little bigger than the other, but it’s barely noticeable. Her nose is small and looks like a little button. From the side you can see that it’s a bit pointy. She has never been the type that cares about her appearance but she doesn’t think that her nose suits her face at all. Her lips are pink with a hint of red in them, almost like a mixture of either a luminous or a pale cherry, perhaps both. When she smiles she gets big dimples and she’s the only one in her family that has it.
Her hand is rather big for a woman’s size and her nails are very short because she doesn’t want them to get in the way when she’s working. When she explains things she gestures a lot with her hands, they are literally all over the place.
She wears a brown mid-high jacket with one pocket on each higher side and a white shirt underneath, white tights with two scabbards attached to each side and is more in to swords then guns because of the horrible incident of hers. Her brown boots goes up to her knees with 0,5 inch heel, and she wears a red long scarf around her neck. She has a big backpack with her with quite much space so the supplies she’s gathering will fit.
She has this typical body language, when she wants something she just stands there with her hip pouting out, saying that's it's not true and that's she's okay when she's not. When she likes someone she tries to act her toughest and always raising one eyebrow, it's like she's putting her smile in another spot instead of showing it to people, so if you want to see her smile don't look at her lips, the smile can be hiding in her hazel brown eyes.
Personality: When Kindra isn’t thinking of anything bad she can be a very talkative person but she rather be alone at most. She likes her private time so she can think about almost everything, like how life would have been for her if it wasn’t for this zombie apocalypse, and if there are someone out there for her to be with. She can be rather mean to people, but she has lived alone for 4 years and 1 year in Jackson County but not talking that much to anyone except the ones who send her out to deliver messages and supplies, so she’s not used talking to others. She doesn’t know how to act in front of others and can get pretty nervous, but doesn’t show it at all. Just keeps her cool and don’t let anyone suspect a thing.
She is very nice when you get to know her though, she’s a person you can rely on, a caring woman. She doesn’t know it yet though, but her former self or should we say her inner child will come out from that harsh shell she’s hiding in sooner or later. She is also a person who isn't afraid of getting close to people; we could say that she has no limits and she is not afraid of looking others directly into their eyes and is not afraid of speaking her mind. She can be very rough in the beginning but in the end, when you get to know her, I assure that her good side will arrive. She doesn't either just say her name till just anyone, she goes by the name Pierce and only tells her name to whom she likes. So if you hear the name Kindra, you are lucky!
She likes to be outside on the back of Tommy’s dam and train her fighting skills and riding on her favorite horse; Timber. Kindra loves taking him outside to the forest, just taking it easy with the nice breeze blowing through her hair.
Alignment: Well, she’s more on the good side than the bad side, but she isn’t on anyone’s side really, she just does that feels right for her and to survive.
Likes: Animals, freedom, deep down she knows she wants a friend so yeah, friends, to swim in the water, stories, adventures and just taking it easy.
Dislikes: People who think they are anything, cold, crowds, cramped together places and getting anyone hurt nor seeing anyone get hurt.
Strengths: Good at stealth, running and coming up with ideas, and slicing runners and clickers with her bad ass swords, no but, with her swords.
Weaknesses: Kindra is a bit selfish but that’s because she has lived quite lonely life and always thought about herself in first hand, she wasn’t all like that before though, but people change fast in time. She has claustrophobia, so she can’t be in packed places. She is afraid of being trapped inside walls forever and it came to her head so harsh and made her terrified when she’s in a place that is cramped together or when she’s in a big crowd.
History and Background: It all started in the year of 2012 when the Zombie apocalypse began. Two humans, a man and a woman lived in a quiet, peaceful civilization in the south of Wyoming. During the year of 2016, they got a baby named Kindra. They didn't expect a baby; they thought that it would be too cruel to bring a baby in to such an awful world. But they couldn't bear to get rid of her. Even though there was a millions of zombies terrorizing the world they lived a pretty good life. No one could tear them apart, not even death. They did everything together, went to the park, even though it wasn't such a beautiful park like it was before. They had story time every night. Kindra was always the one who wanted to tell stories to her folks, her imagination flew all around the place, from dragons to unicorns, princesses and princes, trolls and giants and the most important imagination she had was living beyond those walls, with no bad creatures of any sort. To run free and do whatever she wanted and forever be with her father and mother, living in eternity with each other. Kindra had long wished for a little sister or a little brother, so she could tell them about her adventures outside the walls, even though she never has taken one foot outside. There weren’t many children in the civilization, not many people dared to bring children in to this world any longer. It was far too dangerous. Kindra spent the most of her time with her mother and often complained that she never had any friends her age. Then one day her mother told her that friends weren't something you had to see or to feel, that it was more behind friendship than that and that if you dig deep enough, they would be there always, in your heart. Just use some imagination. Her mother’s smile always lifted Kindra's day and she was never sad when she was around her. It was that day when Kindra made up with an imaginary friend. Her name was Molly and they played in her room all the time with toys that weren’t lost in the first day of the zombie apocalypse. They weren't that sustainable either but they were suitable for her. Of course Kindra still spent a lot of time with her father and mother too, but she didn’t tell them about Molly. She was very sacred to her and she held a lot of Kindra's secrets. Kindra's mom knew of course, but did not want to interrupt what her daughter had. It made her so very happy to see her beloved with a smile on her face every day.
At the 9th birthday of Kindra, her parents thought of getting another child for her to play with. And a few months after they noticed that the woman’s stomach began to grow bigger and bigger for each month that passed. They were all very excited, especially Kindra, she always talked and sang to the baby, stroking her moms stomach all day long, from day to night. They couldn't know for sure if it was a boy or a girl but they always thought about it as a sister for Kindra. When the baby kicked, Kindra would jump around and laugh really loud, even at night, the neighbors would always complain the day after. As each day that went by Kindra forgot more about Molly, she was like a forgotten toy, laying there. Some days she would have guilt over it and then just forget about it. Kindra’d had Molly since she was around 5 years old and she always called for her when she hit rock bottom, but she did feel a lot happier now when she knew she was going to have a friend she could show to everyone in their little town. She couldn't wish for anything else than this, she loved her little sister more than anything from the bottom of her heart. Even though she hadn't seen her yet she knew that this love was real.
Six months in to the pregnancy the civilization got attacked by zombies. This happened when a guy who had been out looking for supplies and came home infected, the guy didn't know this himself and neither did the guards. It ended up that he turned in to one of them and infected his whole family and it came to Kindra’s house. One zombie managed to get to them and they infected Kindra's mom by biting her right hand and they had to flee the civilization, but their mom got sicker each hour that went by. When Kindra’s father was looking around their new hiding place, Kindra's mom acted stranged, groaning really loud. “Mom?” Kindra said with a shaky voice. When her mom looked up she saw her pale eyes and knew that she was infected with the virus. Deep down in Kindra's heart she knew what she had to do. Her father had long ago taught Kindra that whatever happens to either of them, she had to pull the trigger. She didn't really know what death meant when she was five but the word frightened her anyway. Kindra was trembling with fear when she looked at her lost mother crawling on the ground a few meters away. Sweat ran down her forehead and tears ran down her cheek. Kindra was chocked and couldn't move at all but she had to run for the gun they had stocked in their bag and shoot her, she couldn't manage at first but eventually she pulled herself together and took a hold of the gun and pulled the trigger multiply times as she closed her eyes. At least one of the shots managed to hit the head and her mother fell to the ground with a thump. She wasn't quite the same after that because she knew that she had killed her mother and her little sister who was sleeping inside the womb.
Soon after the incident they buried Kindra's mother on a high hill beneath the sun in the north east in Wyoming. Kindra lay a seashell beside the cross that she found a few days before when they fled from the civilization in Wyoming, for her little sister. Kindra had never cried so much, she had lost her two best friends and she never thought of Molly again after that day. They walked through the wilderness in silence for a long time and at that time her father went mentally insane for each day that passed. He started to think that his wife was still alive and he slowly grew desperate of finding a cure for her. Kindra couldn't talk to him anymore and she often stayed away from him or kept a long distance from him when they were heading somewhere. Years passed and Kindra grew, and at the age of 16 she could take care of herself. She began to realize that she couldn't stay with her father anymore so she had to leave him somewhere, but not just in the middle of nowhere. She would have to find a camp or something for him to live in, maybe there was some place that had an insane asylum of any sort. She could only hope and look that there were a place for him so he could be safe.
She found a little civilization just north of Wyoming, it wasn’t very big though and not noticeable for people who travelled by and at the age of 16 she left him there with people she knew could take care of him and continued on to Jackson County and later on she wanted go to Boston. She had always wanted to go to Boston; she had heard a lot of stories about that place, old stories when assassins roamed the streets. The stories were amazing but scary, but what wasn't scary these days? She had walked outside the walls for 4 years now but every time her mind wandered, she thought about her dad. Was he still okay? Was he still alive? Some days she would go visit him in the north and tell him how great her adventures outside “the walls” were. When she was in Jackson County she bounced in to a guy named Tommy and he gladly let her inside his walls. Of course they had to test her first if she had the virus or anything like that and check that she wasn’t one of the bandits. It took a while but she managed to stay there as long as she wanted. Since then she had been living there in Jackson County for one whole year and been working as a supplier for Tommy and loved the job. It was beautiful in Jackson, and the sun always stood high on the sky during the spring. She had a nice room there in Tommy’s dam, but she spent a lot of time outside, riding her favorite horse Timber. It wasn’t exactly hers but she borrowed him from time to time and she loved him. He was just as calm as she was. When she was out on duty she usually travelled on foot, it was safest that way. Sometimes she would bring Timber, but that wasn’t often. She never wanted to risk anybody’s life ever again.
In the north she got a pair of swords from a man who didn’t need them any longer for he was too old for such nonsense as walking outside the protecting walls. He had had his adventures but at that moment it was time for him to settle down. Kindra now and then thought of him. He used to tell her about his adventures and they were very interesting she thought then but now she couldn’t remember at all because he told her so much in so many strange languages.
Kindra had lived in desperation those years after she left her father but she was beginning to think more about her little sister and maybe, just maybe, she was still out there, waiting for her big sister. That thought couldn't slip out of Kindra's mind. She did never see her sister die; maybe someone found her afterwards and took care of her. Every time that thought crossed her mind, she cried, not from happiness and not from sadness, hoping that it was true, hoping she would have a friend she never had.
Arsenal: Kindra has two swords with her at all times in her scabbards at each side that she got from a man in north of Wyoming when she left her father. After 5 years with these swords, her skills in them have grown incredibly.
She knows how to shoot a gun too but she prefers not to use one again.
Equipment: A large backpack so she fits supplies for her work. In her backpack she has also things of her own, like a box of matches, a notebook to write interesting things in or about the zombies or how to build small objects, like explosives, what you need for creating an aid-kit or stuff like that, a simple notebook is all. A whetstone to sharpen her swords, a flashlight and some comic books if she ever gets board at night when she’s heading for other cities to gather supplies or leave messages. Of course she has a gasmask with her of all times for the spores.
Roleplay Example:
This day wasn’t as sunny as the others. It was cloudy and not a single bird was shown on the sky. Kindra was hiding behind a desk in an abandoned building, quiet as a mouse. There were runners and clickers all over the place. She was heading over to Chillian Medical Centre to gather some medicine because they were all out in Tommy’s dam. The clickers were disgusting, slimy mushrooms on their faces and bodies and they were stinking like hell but it was easy for Kindra to stealth past them. As for the runners it wasn’t that easy, they could both see and hear her. She would use the oldest trick in the book and sneak up on them and either suffocate them or slice their heads off, but at this moment it wasn’t that easy because they were all facing towards Kindra’s direction, so this was the time to use her bow instead and pierce them right through their skull. She had gathered a lot of arrows for this little journey so there weren’t any problem with that. As she spotted a runner just ahead she hitched her bow and aimed for the creature, and then shot it right through its head. It took a while for her to aim because she wasn’t that used to her bow, even though she had had it witt her for a long time. It would probably take her a while to learn how to aim properly with it.
As she had made it past the clickers and runners she came by an old comic store and there were a lot of comics that still were in a pretty good shape, not too well though but at least it was something to keep her mind off of things. The place was rotten and the windows shattered on the floor and wires were hanging from the ceiling. She had to be careful; there could be runners and or clickers around, or maybe something even worse. As she gently walked across the abandoned store she saw some comics with Iron Man, she loved Iron Man, so she gathered two or maybe three of them and was about to continue on when she heard something in the storehouse at the back of the store. “God damn it!”she thought to herself. She quickly put her hands on her swords as she turned her head to her right, looking in the corner of her eye at the door to the stockroom. She slowly turned her body to face the door as she walked closer to it. As she was close enough to the door she pressed her back against the wall beside the door. She gently pushed the door open with her left hand but quickly put it back to her chest so that no one could see her hand, if there even were someone there. She couldn’t know for sure and there were only one way to find out. She was ready with her right hand to pull one sword out just in case but was also ready with the left hand to pull the knife out if the creature was too close. “It better be something fucking important!” she thought and gulped. Just after her little fight inside of her head she then tilted her head by the door side and looked in; nothing seemed to be moving so she went inside.
