Physical Description: Ruby's body is full of all sorts of tattoos, each holding a memory of her former life, every combat, all the pain and pleasure , family, lovers and more! She treasures every single one of them, no regrets. Her hair is cut short, because it's simple and uncomplicated, no hair in the way when she fights or runs, and because it looks damn fine. Her facial structure is sharp, you can see her chin really well, no double chin here no, nothing at all. She is muscular and pretty thin. That's because she works out a lot to stay in shape and be ready for any combat she may encounter. Scars cover her body as well as the tattoos, some of the tattoos have been scraped away on some places. She has been fighting in close combat with only a knife with humans and the infected so some scars are obvious. The one thing Ruby really hate about herself is that she has no freckles, her whole family had them but not her and she thinks they are HELLA CUTE. (especially on girls) WINK WINK!
Her height is about 6.2 and weighs around 149 lb.

Ruby would describe her hair as Espresso colored because it's brown but a very darkened brown, not only that, she loves espresso as well. Her eyes are hazel colored with a hint of gold in them, really elegant!

Personality: I must say that Ruby has a wonderful personality, unlike much others in these days she is a very open and a really entertaining spirit. She is always prepared with a joke just in case things get too serious or melancholy or boring or anything in particular. She can get kind of irritated pretty quick though but who doesn't now a days? She tends not to show it but it's very easy to notice, you'll see. Other than that she can be really charming as well, just ask the girls! When it's time for work she can get quite serious, yes, It's weird but she takes her job very severe, though it's not dangerous to joke around sometimes if it doesn't alters your chance of living.

Alignment: She just wants to survive man, she does whatever is necessary.

Likes: Animals, water, friends, girls, nature, sounds, jokes, joy, her job, gingers, freckles, pink, guns, flowers etc.

Dislikes: Boredom, chocolate, needles (yes I know she is tattooed..), money, weed (not the drug) etc.

Strengths: Well, she has the strength, good at aiming, close combat, speed and quite good at stealth, she has to improve on stealth more though, etc.

Weaknesses: Being sensetive, can't swim that well, etc.

History and Background: Ruby was 4 years old, living south of Jackson County when the apocalypse began, she has a younger brother who is 2 years younger than her and a father and a mother. Her father is named Augustus and her mother is named Marianne. Perry is her little brother and Ruby loves him very much even though they fight quite a lot but which sibling doesn't? Her mother was loving, kind to her kids and nothing could get her down. Her father on the other hand drank quite a lot and sometimes he hit Marianne, but as I said, nothing could get her down. She was blind by love and always kept thinking that they had more good times than bad. They had been together for one year when they got Ruby and Marianne couldn't be happier for having a cute baby girl and two years later when they got Perry Marianne cried of joy, all her life she had wanted a boy and a girl and she got what she wanted, but two years after that everything went down for the family. Marianne for one became quiet, sad and very scared and Augustus drank like never before and he got really crazy, he hit Marianne even more and started hitting on Ruby as well. When Marianne became distant from the family Ruby had to take care of her brother instead, like changing diapers, feeding him and so on. They had raided some stores and gotten some canned food, candy bars, water, diapers and a few toilette papers etc.

As time went Augustus' sanity became weaker and weaker and he started to get it on with Marianne against her will and it went on for a while until 5 years later when Marianne got pregnant, when she did she became even more depressed than she already was, the happy Marianne was gone. She cried almost every day and Augustus was beside her screaming at her to shut up and sipping on his whisky bottle now and again. They tried to search for abortion pills but none prevailed. As the months went Ruby had to fix everything, she learned how to shoot with a gun and how to hunt, she found some books on how to make bunny traps and other survival things that would be very useful. 9 months later Ruby's second brother Christian was born and her drunken father was the one delivering. It could have gone really bad but lucky enough it didn't. After the pregnancy Marianne didn't do anything, she didn't talk much and she did not look after her children so Ruby had too, she had to hunt, cook and protect them all, because her father couldn't see very straight so his gun would not be that good if infected came up or even worse, bandits. Ruby had seen a group of bandits before, and it wasn't pretty. They had a truck and there was a man on the trunk strapped in each wrist and foot... dead... It was barbaric.

Ruby's parents were out one sunny day searching for food, leaving Ruby in charge to care for her brother Perry who was 9 years at the time and Christian were 2 years old. They left at noon and they were gone quite long. When midnight came Ruby could hear someone outside, she thought that it was her parents coming home at last but boy was she wrong. When she had found herself to the door she could hear someone snarling just outside and she knew it was one of them monsters. It suddenly began to bang on the door aggressively, she knew it had reached it's sent and it was hungry. She quickly headed for the revolver her parents had left her aiming for the door. Suddenly it stopped banging, she thought maybe the infected tired and went away but she still stayed at her guard with her brother Perry behind her terrified, and Christian in the crib right next to Perry. They waited for a while, about one minute later the banging began again but on the barred window to Ruby's left, she quickly turned and pointed the gun towards the bangning. Ruby was scared, she wouldn't lie, but she feared more for her two brothers lifes. The nails from the wood was beginning to loosen and dropping to the floor one by one. The infected are scary strong. After a short while the wood planks started to fall to the floor and the monster showed his face, looking towards them. Ruby started shooting at the infected. She was quite good at aiming but maybe not that well because she missed a few shots, the first shot went through the wall right to the monster, the other went through his chest, the third in the shoulder and the fourth went right through his head. The snarling stopped as the bullet hit the head and the infected body dropped through the window on to the floor in the living room. Christian was crying and so was Perry. Ruby didn't cry but she was shocked. She turned to her brothers later on, hugged them, comforted them, telling them everything was going to be okay as long as he was by their side and she would always be. Ruby was always taking care of them, she fed them, she washed their clothes and kept them as clean as she could. Ruby was born a leader! She lead her family through the dark times.

One day when Ruby was 12 she walked in on her dad raping her mother, hitting her and Marianne just lay there crying, not even screaming, she was used to it now so what was the point. Ruby didn't even flinch like others would, when she saw her dad like that on top of her she could only think of the infected so she took her knife from her belt, ran to her father, jumped and planted the knife right in her fathers back. She had used all of her strength and the knife had found its way in to Augustus spine, paralyzing him and letting him bleed to death. Ruby tried to yank the knife out of the back but it was as good as stuck, it was like 'The sword in the stone', a book her mother used to read for her before the apocalypse. It was then her mother screamed and pushed Augustus off of her. She got up rushing to Ruby and taking the knife, yelling at her " WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, RUBY?!" Her eyes were wide open, she was crazy, she was mad, she was sad, every emotion was in her eyes that day. Ruby looked at her fathers corpse kind of happy "I got rid of him, mom. Please be happy again." Ruby looked up at her mother looking proud " I will take care of you, Perry and Christian now, we don't need him, we never did" Her mother took a hold of her, tossed her out of the room, slamming the door behind her daughter. Perry and Christian who now was 4 years old stood there looking at Ruby with some blood scattered on her face and even more on her hands. She knelt in front of them opened her arms. " We are safe now, don't be scared " she said with a calm voice.

After the incident they decided to find another place to live. They went to Salt Lake City in case there are any neutral people there, just anything they can find, maybe a camp of some sort. When they arrived at Salt Lake City they see that there's a quarantine there, they rush to the gates talking to one of the soldiers holding their big guns and wearing military suites. First they search us for any infection and takes away our weapons until further instructions. We get to talk to the Firefly leader Marlene and after they got us a house to live in, work for Ruby's mother and school for the children. The first moment Ruby got to meet the firefly leader she was stunned, she looked up to Marlene, she was amazed of her work and she told Marlene that when she grew up she wanted to be a firefly leader too. Marlene was really nice to Ruby and she said, " Well maybe you'll take my place when I retire then! But you have to work hard, lil' girl! " And from that moment on she practiced shooting with BB guns with Marlene and she still took care of her younger brothers really much. Marianne had started to recover from everything, she was starting to forget about the apocalypse in the quarantine and life got better for all of them.

1 year has passed and they were fitting in really good, Ruby is still practising with Marlene and she teaches her a lot about finding a cure, how to deal with all the infected and much more. Marianne had also found herself a man that she really likes. They are taking it slow but Ruby and her brothers are really happy to see their mother up and going again. 3 years after that, a few days after Ruby's 16th birthday, Marianne and her boyfriend Robin gets a Baby girl. Marianne let's Ruby decide a name for her little sister as a thank you for everything she has done to help her and Ruby's brothers. Ruby thinks for a while but then she knows what her sisters name will be, Luna. Ruby's favorite books are the Harry Potter series and her favorite character is Luna, because she is sweet, funny and goofy. Ruby smiles at her little sister embraced by her mothers arms, and then she looks over at Robin smiling down on his baby and his soon to be wife. Ruby loves Robin, he is kind, funny and he takes care of them all. Marianne could not find a better guy.

At age 18 Ruby applied to join the fireflies. Three year later after she joined they almost found a cure. At age 23 she was promoted to a higher group. Her tasks was to train new comers, help with raids, planning etc. Ruby was a very good soldier and Marlene always told her that they needed more like her, and at the age of 29 she got promoted leader. She was fit for the job. 

Ruby have had only one true love in her life. Her name was Elsa. She was a blond beautiful girl, short and had those sparkling green eyes everyone wanted. Her hair was long a ruff on the edges. Elsa was 3 years younger than Ruby. Ruby met Elsa on the third day after she joined the fireflies. She cought Ruby's eyes the second she walked in to the studyroom. Elsa's father was a sergeant so she often hung out in the building sometimes. She didn't work there or anything but she loved to help her dad out in any way.  Ruby spent some day just watching her walk by but one day she decided to speak with her. They got along really well and later on became best friends. They never had a fight ever! 2 Years later when Ruby just had turned 20 things became more seriouse, Ruby confessed to her blond crush. She told her everything, her feelings, how she loved the way she walked, the way her hair got stuck in her mouth and eyes all the time. Everything about her was perfect in Ruby's eyes. Luckily Elsa felt the same way and Ruby could not believe it, and it was then they both shared their first kiss behind the building. 

They kept their love a secret for 1,5 years untill Elsa's father saw them together. He got really mad and forbid Elsa to ever speak with Ruby again. They did not speak for 6 months, only exchanging sad looks in the corridors. One day Ruby walked up to Elsa when everyone was heading home and no one were to be seen. Ruby told her she could not stand it any longer, she loved her and nothing could make Ruby change her mind. Elsa loved her father all to much and didn't want to upset him again so she stood quiet and after a short silence she simply just walked away. 1 year later Ruby got promoted to the rank sergeant. Elsa's father came to Ruby and congratulated her for her up-rank. He also asked her to speak in private. He told her he was quiting the job to be with his newborn. Ruby was taking his place as a sergeant. He also said sorry for breaking her and Elsa up, and that he wanted Ruby to keep her safe now that she has gotten a job at the fireflies as a soldier. Ruby accepted and told him " I'll make you proud sir! " making a salute as he was walking away. She was happy that he finally had come to his senses. Elsa had already heard the news of course and ran straight up to Ruby as soon as she saw her and they kissed so long they almost missed ther shifts. That evening they made love.

2 Year later they were sent on a mission together with some cadets and it got messy. Ruby lost Elsa that day. A group of skilled bandits slaughtered half of the crew and a few had critical injuries.

They had four cars to go by, they were 18 men and Ruby never left her girlfriends side, never! Half way to boston they had already lost a car and a few good soldiers, some were injured but could still shoot a gun. They reached Pittsburgh and had to stop for more supplies and gas if they could find any. It was there the bandits attacked, they were brutal. They lost more men there and when they thought it was over they found an abandoned french restaurant to rest for the night. Ruby had gotten shot through her thigh and couldn't move so well but Elsa was there with her, made sure the wound was kept clean and patched up. She sang for her, stroked her forehead and kissed her. They slept along side eachother, holding hands and everything seemed much more safer now for both of them.

A scream burst through the cold air and Ruby woke up with a jerk. Ruby looked up at her partner's sleeping roll. Empty. She tried to get up but the pain was unbareable. It ached through her whole body. "HELP ME" Ruby yelled at her soldiers. She got her help up and she grabbed the strong stick Elsa had gotten her and halted as fast as she could outside where she had heard the scream. When she got outside she saw all the survivors of the bandits they fought earlier that day, holding Elsa with a knife pressed dangerously tight to her throat. "S-STOP" Ruby stuttered. "Please! Stop!" Elsa was crying and said "sorry" over and over again. The bandit holding her looked Ruby dead in the eye and finally said "You killed my bestfriends out there. So I will do the same to you, dyke!" Ruby's soldiers pointed the gus towards the bandit holding her lover. Ruby gestured to them to put them down. "Please, I think we can come to an arrangement here! Please, put the knife down. I'll give you anything you want." He looked at her, pretending to put the knife down and then he shouted; "FUCK YOU"  as the knife slid across Elsa's throat violently. "NOOOOOO!!!" Ruby screamed with all her might as the limp body dropped to the ground.

4 years after she got promoted leader since they needed one and Ruby was the one almost everyone wanted. Some didn't because she was a dyke but the majority wanted her. After the incident with her girlfriend she had became very cold, insensitive and strict. It was some good qualities for a leader, but some people would call it being bitchy and rude. Now she has been a leader for 4 months and she loves her job because it makes her think about the job and nothing else. She still sees her family from time to time but she tends to take her distance from them as well. Poor girl.
